Step-by-step
- Check-in (1F) — Please arrive 5–10 minutes early.
- Optional: Kimono fitting — Allow extra time if you book a kimono plan.
- Move to the tea room (2F) — Settle in and relax.
- Choose your Kiyomizu-yaki tea bowl — Each bowl has its own charm.
- Make your own matcha — Add matcha, pour hot water, whisk with a bamboo whisk (chasen).
- Enjoy with a Japanese sweet (wagashi) — A classic pairing.
- Photo time — Photos are welcome; for videos, please check with the instructor.

How long does the experience take?
About 20–30 minutes for the full experience.
Do I need to wear a kimono?
No. You can join in everyday clothes. Kimono plans are available if you’d like a more “Kyoto” experience.
Can children join?
Yes. Elementary school age and older: adult price. Preschool children: free with an adult (1 child per 1 adult). Matcha & sweets are for adults only. If a child disturbs others, we may ask you to leave.
Do I need to book in advance?
Reservations are recommended due to limited seating. Same-day bookings are accepted if space is available.
Can I take photos or videos?
Photos and videos are welcome at certain points of the experience.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation: until 10:00 AM on the day before your experience.
After that: 100% charge (non-refundable). No-shows or arrivals more than 15 minutes late are also charged in full.

Do you offer allergy-friendly sweets?
Please tell us about any food allergies when booking or before your visit. Depending on the allergy, we may be able to change the sweets. We do our best, but we cannot guarantee complete removal of allergens. For severe allergies, multiple allergies, or last-minute requests, we may not be able to accommodate.

- By Bus: From Kyoto Station Bus Terminal, take a Kyoto City Bus or Kyoto Bus (e.g., No. 86 toward Kiyomizu area). Get off at Kiyomizu-michi, then walk about 2 minutes. Fare: approx. ¥230.
- By Train & Walk: About 20 minutes on foot from Keihan Kiyomizu-Gojo or Gion-Shijo Station.
- By Taxi: From Kyoto Station: approx. 20–30 minutes, around ¥2,000–¥3,000. Traffic can be heavy during peak hours.
