- Check in — Please arrive 5–10 minutes early.
- Optional: Kimono fitting — Allow extra time if you book a kimono plan.
- Meet your instructor — Take your seat and learn about Japanese tea culture.
- Choose your Kiyomizu-yaki tea bowl — Each bowl has its own charm.
- Make your own matcha — Add matcha, pour hot water, and whisk with a bamboo whisk (chasen).
- Enjoy with a Japanese sweet (wagashi) — A classic pairing.

How long does the experience take?
About 20–30 minutes for the tea ceremony. Please allow extra time if you book a kimono plan.
Do I need to wear a kimono?
No. You can join in everyday clothes. Indoor and outdoor kimono plans are available.
Is the experience suitable for beginners?
Yes. No previous experience is required. Our instructor explains each step in easy-to-follow English.
Can children join?
Yes. Elementary school age and older: adult price. One preschool child may join free with each paying adult. Matcha and sweets are provided for paying guests only.
Do I need to book in advance?
Reservations are recommended due to limited seating. Same-day bookings are accepted if space is available.
Can I take photos or videos?
Photos and videos are welcome at designated points during the experience. Please follow the instructor’s guidance.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation is available until 10:00 AM on the day before your experience. After that, cancellations, no-shows, and arrivals more than 15 minutes late are charged in full.
